The Art of Wining Ukrainian Tenders
Today, Silk Road Association of Ukraine Silk Link and PwC Company held a roundtable conference for Chinese companies, the tops of the event was The Art of Wining Ukrainian Tenders. The participants of the business event included representatives from more than 20 Chinese corporations such as CCEC, CNBM, CPCG, XINWEI GROUP, HUAWEI, China Overseas Development Association, China Railway International Group, China Road & Bridge Corporation, China Trade Association, China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd., Bohai Commodity Exchange and others.
According to Victor Dovgan, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine on European Integration: “Ukraine is interested in cooperation with the People’s Republic of China. 2018 will be the year of Chinese investments. We have a lot of projects, enough for everyone to work on”. Among the infrastructure directions of Ukrainian-Chinese cooperation, the Deputy Minister defined four main ones: roads, port and railway projects, and Boryspil International Airport. In total, over the next 12 years, it is planned to attract about $ 50 billion of investments in Ukraine’s infrastructure.
PwC, in turn, presented to the Chinese guests the particularities of participating in tenders, challenging tender results in case of disagreement or violations of the rules, as well as key features of effective tax and legal structures for Chinese contractors.
In conclusion, Iryna Nykorak, the founder of Silk Road Association of Ukraine Silk Link, informed that such business activities will continue to be conducted systematically on a monthly basis.
